  • Charles Manson, leader of the "Manson family" who ordered his followers to kill in preparation for the end of the world. He also claimed to be Satan.
  • Claude Vorilhon now known as Raël "messenger of the Elohim" (1946-), a French professional test driver and former automobile journalist became founder and leader of UFO religion the Raël Movement in 1972, which teaches that life on Earth was scientifically created by a species of extraterrestrials, which they call Elohim. He claimed he met an extraterrestrial humanoid in 1973 and became the Messiah.[14] Then devoted himself to the task he said was given by his "biological father", an extraterrestrial named Yahweh.
  • David Koresh (Vernon Wayne Howell) (1959–1993), leader of the Branch Davidians.

  • World Teacher (unknown), claims to be the Maitreya and  promised one of all religions and is currently living in London since 19 July 1977;[33][34][35] promoted by New Age activist Benjamin Creme and his organization, Share International.
  • Sun Myung Moon, the Moonies, the Unification Church, and 'True Parents Organization', are all examples of Matthew 24. This man, and I emphasize the word "man", is a tool of Satan himself. He is NOT God, as he has claimed to be so often

  • David Koresh, former leader of the Branch Davidian cult in Waco, Texas, believed he was the Lamb of Revelation 5 because he received revelations from God in how to interpret the seven seals needed to be broken in order to open the scroll. 75 people died in the inferno that ensued during the attempted takeover of the compound by the FBI and ATF on April 19, 1993.
  • September 12, 2006 - Puerto Rican-born Jose Luis de Jesus  Miranda presides over a world-wide movement that believes he is God -the second coming of Jesus Christ. From South Florida Miranda leads his followers, mostly Hispanic, in a different gospel, the "freedom to indulge" because he teaches that there is no sin, no devil and no hell to pay. The church is called "Creciendo en Gracia" or Growing in Grace Ministry.
  • May 24, 2002 - In Siberia, Sergei Torop, who was a traffic cop in a small Russian town, now claims to be Jesus Christ, and actually has thousands of followers. Vissarion Christ - the Teacher, as he is known to his thousands of disciples, who are  convinced that he is the reincarnation of Jesus of Nazareth, come back to earth to save the world.
  • Yahweh ben Yahweh (1935–2007), born as Hulon Mitchell, Jr., a black nationalist and separatist who created the Nation of Yahweh and allegedly orchestrated the murder of dozens  persons. 
  • Apollo Quiboloy, founder and leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ  religious group, who claims that Jesus Christ is the "Almighty Father," that Quiboloy is "His Appointed Son," and that salvation is now completed. Proclaims himself as the "Appointed Son of the God" not direct to the point as the "Begotten Son of the God" in 1985.
